Visiting Nurse Association Health Group to Join BAYADA Home Health Care

Hi, I’m David Baiada, the CEO of BAYADA Home Health Care. I’m Steve Landers, CEO of Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, the VNAHG for short. And, we’re so excited to share the news that VNA Health Group will be joining BAYADA. One of the things that I am most excited about, as it relates to this opportunity, is that we are two nonprofit organizations completely focused on a common, shared purpose: to enhance our impact on the continuum of care, to transform the way that health care is delivered and help patients experience a better quality of life in the place that they most want to be—at home. Through our combined 150 years of experience, we can grow our collective impact on the health care ecosystem by expanding access to quality care through our operational and clinical expertise. Both of our organizations have been working for years to transform health care for those we serve, and it’s not easy. We believe that all employees like Steve and myself can bring together this common purpose and unite behind a future where home is at the center. I’ve had the incredible privilege of working with Mark, as you know, on a variety of national advisory groups in Washington DC—home care advocacy efforts. And one of the things that I’ve come to love about Mark is his total, steadfast commitment to service, to making sure of the public—the communities we serve—have access to compassionate, reliable care, the best possible care in their home, and that’s really what VNA Health Group is all about. We’ve been on over a hundred-year journey, starting with our founder Geraldine Thompson and all our board members and supporters and leadership team members. We’ve been totally focused on how do we better serve people in the home and community setting, improve their lives. And with Geraldine Thompson and Mark Baiada, they’re these two iconic, really mission-driven, purpose-driven founders, and we’re here with you all to bring together those two sets of ideals that have so much commonality into an organization that’s going to lead the transformation of health care at home. When we think about partnerships, we want to make sure it’s right for our people, and there’s no question that BAYADA has what it takes to be a great career home for our people. To my colleagues at BAYADA, thanks for rolling out the red carpet and helping the VNA Health Group teams experienceThe BAYADA Way.And finally to Steve, welcome to you, I’m excited to have you on board, I’m excited to have you join the organization, our leadership team, to help makeThe BAYADA Waycome true. David, thanks so much, I can’t be more excited, and I know we’re going to make an incredible difference working together.
