  1. Еще одна феноменальная пластинка пятидесятилетней выдержки. Как бальзам.

  2. The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society – in my humble Opinion one of the best Concept Album ever.
It sound fresh like the Day it was released in 1968.

  3. Wow! Also ‘Johnny Thunders’ influencing the Velvet underground sound?
The kinks essential distillation of the psychedelic English music scene in the 60s.
    Refreshing, optimistic, whimsical delight.

  4. You'd need to search long and hard to find quirkiness raised on such a high pedestal. The England demonstrated in this music can still be found – and that is immensely reassuring, to me, at least.

  5. The crappy adds cut the songs into pieces. The Kinks are brilliant – too bad someone else is apparently making money on this. The Moneygoround… I'm going to listen to all the good stuff online from now on.

  6. With all respects to White Album, Beggars Banquet, Sweetheart of the Rodeo, Odessey and Oracle, The Hurdy Gurdy Man, Truth, The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter, The Move, Bookends, Big Pink and We're Only in It for the Money… for me, the best 1968 album was The Village Green Preservation Society.
