Hate in the Car Community [4k]

August 28, 2019 at 7:29 am | Articles, Blog | Ruben Talley -

Milton Friedman on Guaranteed Income / Negative Income Tax / Basic Income

August 26, 2019 at 4:30 pm | Articles, Blog | Ruben Talley -

This is Milton Friedman. The Nobel Prize winning libertarian economist… …who adamantly opposed big government. The government is too big. It’s becoming our master instead of our servant. We’ve got to redact against it and cut it down to size. So it may come as a surprise… …to learn that Milton Friedman… …proposed a government

Why Humanity Destroyed Itself

August 24, 2019 at 4:29 pm | Articles, Blog | Ruben Talley -

One day, if human civilisation ever wipes itself out, aliens or one of our successors will cast an eye on our ruined planet, and ask themselves what ever happened to. Their answer might look a little like this. The root cause won’t be the specific catastrophe, conflict or devastation that eradicates us; the problem will

Big Tech Will Not Be Broken Up – Here’s Why

August 11, 2019 at 5:29 pm | Articles, Blog | Ruben Talley -

Big technology companies have never had a greater influence over our lives than they do now and this trend is only increasing. Unsurprisingly, alongside their growing power comes the ever-louder public that cries out for antitrust litigation. But, unfortunately for the people, big tech is not going to be broken up and in this video

Why Socrates Hated Democracy

August 1, 2019 at 9:30 am | Articles, Blog | Ruben Talley -

We are used to thinking very highly of democracy – and by extension, of Ancient Athens, the civilisation that gave rise to it. The Parthenon has become almost a byword for democratic values, which is why so many leaders of democracies like to be photographed there. It’s therefore very striking to discover that one of
