..these attitudes of the public we gotta
change the people in your position… If you’ve been watching the news lately, you’ll notice social networks keep making the headlines. Spying on us, manipulating us
giving away our personal information without our consent. Do you still trust
any of these social networks? I don’t. Social networks are awesome.
They help us connect with pretty much anyone in the world. Your friends, your family, your
cat, your dog, you name it. Hi Ma! I’m on Kickstarter. Sadly, social networks today aren’t so much about connecting people instead,
they’re all about making as much money as possible out of people.
No matter the consequences For example the loss of privacy. That’s why we
decided to create Openbook. A new, honest, open source and awesome
social network. Your personal data will actually be personal and, we wont track anything you do.
That’s right zero tracking. We’re all different and that makes each
of us beautiful. Social networks should embrace this! That’s why, in Openbook you will not only be able to customise
your profile, but the whole network itself. And, if you already have a social network account you will be able to import all
of your precious photos, videos and chats in three easy steps. How’s that for you grandma? And lastly, we don’t want Openbook
to be just another tech company We want it to be a project for good. That’s why we’ll be giving 30 percent of our revenue towards making the world a better place For example, education,
sanitisation and climate change prevention So, how far are we? We’ve built a prototype Is it awesome ? Yeah it is! Is it ready for the internet? Nah. Building a social network with the
features we all love, it’s a tough task. We need… developers, designers and definitely lawyers. So, we need your help If you donate just $1, you’ll get early
access to the network your name in our kick-ass founder’s book and, if you’ve got a
couple more dollars to spare, you can get one of these awesome rewards. So please, join us. Help us build something better Help us build Openbook!
