Civilization VI: Rise and Fall Expansion Announcement Trailer

Daughter, the path has not always been easy but you have never faltered. Ours is a journey that spans generations. Where one story ends, another begins. The world our ancestors faced was brutal, yet from it, they drew life. And though the road to prosperity was at times harsh, from it great civilizations arose… …as well as those that would oppose them, with dreams of conquest of their own, creating mighty empires if only to see them fall. Yet from the ashes of the old, new possibilities arise. You need only persevere. For united mankind is capable of many things, both great… …and terrible. Still, the true power to shape this world has always lain in your hands. Choose well. Always.

  1. Thanks for watching! Be sure to like the video and subscribe to the channel for more content!

What new feature are you most excited for in Civilization VI: Rise and Fall?

  2. I'm pretty sure the woman is meant to be Ishtar. An ancient ruler of Babylon; mother of Nimrod. That's what the statue of liberty is, and the guy talks about mankind being able to do anything together. The Bible says that we were scattered across the earth and our languages confused, because (being made in the image of God) we were capable of all things, yet we were also corrupt and wicked. That's the real reason why there have been constant attempts to form global empires. Whether those leading the conquests knew it or not. They were manipulated through greed and desires. Now we're almost there. One global state is on the way. Donald Trump's wall is a tool to fuel this same agenda. It's all about removing barriers. With that – other walls will be broken. Portals. The Babylonians that were scattered were trying to build a tower into heaven. Today that's still the goal, and there are people attempting it in other ways. One of those ways is by opening a gateway between dimensions. I'm sure that most of you have seen it countless times in games and movies. So the ending of the trailer obviously shows Ishtar in power.

Will be very interesting to see if the next president is a 'dark-skinned' (or non-white) woman. Not saying it will be, but I'm saying that this is what's being portrayed here..

  3. i love how we have cheerful folks joking around "haha sean bean died again" and then there are the raging "muh s-j-w huh huh" crowds

  4. Forrest Gump managed to insert himself in every major event of the 70s to the 90s.

Well, this father-daughter pair managed to insert themselves into every major event of the history of HUMANITY!

    Suck it, Gump!

  5. Normally I'd point out the feminist pandering but I wouldn't want someone of my gender to be the main character of a 60 dollar phone game.

  6. As of this version, ( Spring 2018 update, 1.0.0.257 ), the game is at last very playable and the AI can present a decent challenge.

Still needs a lot of work, hopefully whats missing or is not working will be fixed too ( like the AI being unable to understand how airplanes fly 😛 ) , but finally I can say that Civ VI is one of the best in the series.

  7. I always LOVE to watch these cinematic especially when they give speeches like these throughout the time periods. Very well done!

  8. Such an amazing and nice trailer!
It was so emotional that I had tears in my eyes when the wall of Berlin part came… so beautiful.

  9. I don't mind the daughter character. Aside from the ship scene, she wasn't in any blatantly historically inaccurate scenes (she wasn't fighting in the gladiator arena, for example). Civilization 5 did father and son so why not father and daughter for variety?

  10. 0:35 Rome, The Colosseum
    0:56 Korea
    1:09 Mongol Empire
    1:32 Plague Doctors 17th – 19th Century
    1:53 European Colonization
    2:10 Statue of Liberty
    2:20 World War 2
    2:36 Berlin Wall
    2:50 Modern Day
    Correct me if I'm wrong

  11. all the comments are complaining about people complaining that the main character in the trailer is a woman but i dont actually see people complaining that the main character is a woman? Why are we actually complaining people?

  12. I used to rule the world seas would rise when I gave the word

now in the morning I sleep alone sweep the streets I use to own

i used to roll the dice feel the fear in my enemies eyes

listen as the crowd would sing now the old king is dead long live the king

one minute I held the key next the walls were closed on me and I discovered that my castle stand upon pillars of salt , pillars of sand

I hear jerusalem bell's are ringing roman calvary choirs are singing be my mirror my sword and shield
    my missionaries foreign field

for some reason I can't explain once you've go there was never

never an honest word but that was when i rule the world.

  13. Of course. They just have to kill Sean Bean. They tried in the gladiator ring, and failed. So they gave him the plague.

  14. So I was going over this trailer again, one day before the new leader for Civ VI: Gathering Storm releases tomorrow..
and I just notice some of the elements in the cinematic actually still absent from Rise & Fall. There is no diseases event & Diplomatic/World 🌎 Congress. Features which will only actually come out in Gathering Storm. I wonder if those features were riginally supposed to be here and were just pushed back.

  15. I wonder why I never shed a tear for sad scenes in movies, but trailers like this or Sogno di Volare makes me tear up so much.

  16. Wow, ever time I see one of these trailers, It gives me a cool feeling, they are so cool and sensitive. it's like watching the whole world's story at once just in front of me, And then realize how much humanity has been in through for all these years.

  17. This one was maybe even better than the first one 🙂 and Sean Bean died just once 😉 it wasn't a confirmed kill in the first one 😀

  18. If this is not released on Nintendo switch than this company is filled with sinner's and none of them are friends of spain.

  19. who else thinks they spend more money on animations then the game itself, for example a working WorldBuilder

  20. tear up every time I watch this. Imagining what kind of world my daughter will see and experience as she grows up.

  21. The last shot of the conference really gets me. Seeing all the trials of Human history culminate in a rousing declaration of world peace.

  22. Does anyone notice how their faces change ever so slightly with every iteration of their characters. Almost like decendants who look a lot like each other

  23. This is one of the most F – ed up interpretations of word history I've seen. It looks like the script for 0:20 – 1:30 was written by Roman and Chinese emperors; while the script for everything after that was written by contemporary left-wingers. lol.

  24. I have to admit, the inclusion of the fall of the Berlin Wall really touched me, espicially after the scene before. It was such an important and emotional event in the history of our country….

  25. Still waiting on it becoming a respectable price for dlc, and not an entire new AAA game itself; £5, £10 at a push

  27. The trailer, as this game seems, was boring and the girl has too big eyes (kinda pretty otherwise although), yet it moved me to tears. 😉

  28. holy shit….. i remember and imma get hate comments but wow this game brings me to tears and i have only played civ since 3 years ago. The cinematography and the game play it just is so amazing. It really outlines the whole aspect of a true turn based strategy game. The amount of effort fir axis put into the game and listening to the community. They produce some of the best musical pieces, notably baba yetu civ 4 for the only video game grammy
